Objectives

The objective of Ekalavya Model Residential School is to provide quality education to tribal children, ensuring their all-round development and preparing them for higher education and competitive exams. The school aims to promote academic excellence, foster cultural preservation, and instill values of self-reliance and community service. Through a supportive and inclusive learning environment, it seeks to bridge the educational gap, enhance life skills, and empower students to become responsible and capable citizens. Additionally, the school focuses on preserving tribal heritage, promoting sports and extracurricular activities, and providing necessary resources and support for holistic growth

Structure of EMRSs

Admission to these schools is through selection/competition with suitable provision for preference to children belonging to Primitive Tribal Groups, first generation students, etc. Sufficient land is provided by the State Government for the school, playgrounds, hostels, residential quarters, etc. free of cost.The number of seats for boys and girls is equal.In these schools, education is entirely free.

Activities

Activities include academic learning, sports, cultural events, skill development workshops, environmental awareness programs, community service, and extracurricular clubs, fostering holistic growth and all-round development of students.
